A lot has happened since the last post. We picked Mitten, as per the poll, for the ring bearer. She has the best temperament and smell anyway. The colors are ivory, coral, and mocha, from the poll and Jennifer’s preference. And, most importantly, the wedding location will be Destiny’s Garden, south of Amarillo on the loop.
We looked at doing it in Canadian, but the logistics seem quite challenging for a ~75 person wedding without a lot of frills. The chairs, tables, decorations, everything would have to be rented, delivered, and set up by us. So, we looked around Amarillo and visited Destiny’s Garden, Uncommon Twists, and Memories. Everyone was great and Uncommon Twists was tempting. We feel that Destiny’s Garden gives us more flexibility to have an inside or outside wedding. You never know about the whether around here.

Let the Planning Begin….

This weekend we purchased a Wedding Planning book to try and help us get a bit more organized, but wow the thing is huge and I think left us with more questions than answers! It has many beautiful pictures of flowers and ceremony ideas, but we haven’t even picked a color scheme yet. Hopefully we will be going to Canadian in the next couple of weeks and can check out a couple of possible ceremony sites. Any suggestions, I am all ears.

We’re pretty sketchy on details. Right now we’re thinking April 25th weekend, very small ceremony, in Canadian, and outside. After the ceremony a honeymoon somewhere. When we get back a reception in Amarillo.
In the next couple of weeks we want to have a party somewhere to introduce the two families. Not sure where. Gma goes to Las Vegas and Patience moves to Oregon around the 20th.
The are lots of things to decide and we want to use this website to ask you for ideas and opinions. Maybe, with a few polls and comments. There will also be links to photos, gift registrations, and of course, stories.
Announcing the Engagement

Tomorrow we are headed to Canadian to begin telling Stephen’s Family!! Wish me luck 
Update(SS): Gma came to Amarillo Friday night to go with Patience and Adam to the fair, which kind of spoiled our plans of driving down, spending the night, and telling everyone on the way back. It worked out. We got to go to the fair and Dalton and Adam rode all the rides they wanted to.
