The simplest computer. The BitTorrent box is up and running. Obviously, the Internet connection works. The main computer will take a lot more work. It’s in about five different boxes, none of them marked. Besides I want to run Cat6 from the desk location to the final resting place of the router, the closet about 12 ft away.
The battery backups for the computers have been very useful. The house is two wire and they provide extra protection. Also, when I was wiring the light sockets I could be sure that the TiVo and cable box weren’t going to get disrupted. The TVs are on battery. They only lasty about 5 minutes. But the TiVos and auxiliary devices are much lower power and should run a long time.
